Founded as a humble initiative, Kids N Tech has grown from its grassroots origins to a small yet impactful organization dedicated to revolutionizing STEM education. Despite our modest size, our service reach spans far and wide, touching the lives of countless teachers and students seeking authentic and innovative technology experiences in education.

The onset of the pandemic prompted a pivotal moment for Kids N Tech. As we adapt to the changing landscape, we see this as an opportunity to reimagine and potentially reset our strategies. We’re looking to rebuild, refocus, and reaffirm our commitment to empowering educators and students in this rapidly evolving digital era.

To achieve this, we’re in search of dedicated board members willing to roll up their sleeves and invest genuine effort. The right candidates will be more than figureheads – we seek passionate individuals ready to engage in the real work, offering their time, dedication, and expertise to drive tangible change.

The Ideal Candidates Will Have:

Time Commitment:

A passion for education and service.
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and invest genuine effort
A deep understanding of our organization’s mission, values, and goals
A work ethic of dedication and expertise to drive tangible change
A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
The ability to think strategically and creatively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A willingness to engage in fundraising and donor cultivation initiatives
A desire to make a financial contribution to the organization’s mission

We understand the importance of your time and expect a minimum of five hours a month dedicated to board meetings, committee work, and organizational events.

Board Meetings:

Held quarterly, typically last 3-4 hours each
Committee Work: Depending on your assignment, you may meet monthly or bi-monthly. Typically last 1-2 hours.

Organizational Events:

We encourage participation in a few key events throughout the year.

Additional Commitments:

Review materials and provide feedback on important documents.
Participate in ad hoc meetings or working groups as needed.
Engage with donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

We are committed to working with our board members to ensure their time is used effectively. We recognize that board members have busy schedules and will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
